BRM pays Senator Abba Moro congratulatory visit

Group of Idoma eminent personalities from Benue Zone C axis under the aegis of Benue Rebirth Movement (BRM), an emancipation group has on Thursday, paid a courtesy visit on the senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD in his National Assembly office.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the National Coordinator, AVM Monday Morgan (Rtd) said they came to congratulate Senator Moro on his well-deserved elevation to the enviable position of the Senate Minority Leader at the National Assembly and his recent attainment of the high academic laurel of PhD from the prestigious Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), despite his tight schedules.

AVM Morgan expressed the sincere gratitude of BRM to the senator for his unwavering support and commitment to the group’s causes over the years. He said the visit was also to seek the senator’s collaboration and leadership in spearheading the initiatives of BRM, specifically calling on him to lead the people of Zone C in the ongoing constitutional amendment exercise with a view to addressing some of the agitations of the group.

AVM Morgan sought the continuous backing and guidance of Senate Minority Leader, as the political leader of the zone, for the actualization of the group’s shared vision of a prosperous and transformed Benue South.

On the insecurity plaguing parts of Zone C, AVM Morgan thanked Senator Moro for his prompt interventions so far in alleviating the suffering of the displaced persons. He stressed the need for federal attention to end the killings.

In his response, Senator Moro thanked the group for coming to identify with and congratulate him on his recent attainments. He said having put forward himself to serve the good people of Benue South, he would ensure that whatever is due to the senatorial district will definitely get to them.

He said he would continue to provide quality leadership and the needed representation that will be for the good of Benue South, Benue State and Nigeria at large.

Jacob Ajene, Gen. Ode Ede Gabriel (Rtd), James Oche Agbaji, Chief Noah McDickson, Hon. Gabriel Olofu, Prof. David Salifu, Prof. Otor Okwu, Engr Dan Atayi, Dr. Ralph Otobo and Hon. Francis Ijiga.
