The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will face Brazil, Italy and Dominican Republic in the group D of the FIFA U20 World in Argentina beginning from May. Dominican Republic will be making her maiden appearance at the World Cup.
Nigeria was runners up at both Saudi Arabia 1989 and Holland 2005. Argentina is the most successful nation at the FIFA U20 World Cup. The South American football powerhouse has won the competition six times and has produced the likes of Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi to football. Nigeria has had the likes of John Mikel Obi, Dimeji Lawal, Chris Ohenhen, Nduka Ugbade among others at the youth level.
The competition will hold from May 20 to June 11 this year.
