A very young brilliant orphan and determined Agatu girl, Eche Mercy who has on the 26th of August 2023, cried out to Nigerians for help in order to pay her MBBS fees, to pursue her dream as a medical doctor now smiles to campus.
With compassion and love for the orphan, some good Nigerians and organisations from across the divides have made financial assistance to enable the young gal succeed in her quest for quality education.
Revealed that an NGO, Dan-Heart Foundation and Humanitarian has offered Mercy full scholarship up to the completion of her MBBS programme. Also, many others have pledged supports in various forms. Dr Stephen Foundation has paid her first semester fee to the tune of One Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira (160, 000).
A youth emancipator and philanthropist, Hon. Pastor Ojotu Ojema , Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Chairman, Standing Committee on Inland Waterways, has taking care of her accommodation, and pledges to assist in anyway possible to enable mercy complete her MBBS course.
The young articulate Mercy has expressed appreciation to all for concerns. Saying that she was overwhelmed with joy, wondering the manner of love and compassion Nigerians, united by love, have showered on her.
Today, Mercy has already paid her session fees and done with screening.
Further sent her deep and warmth appreciation to all who has one way or the other be part of the history. That it’s not really the amount, but the thought that went into it. According to mercy, It’s difficult to mention all the persons who contributed because they are too many.
Therefore, pray God to meet the needs of her helpers in times of their individual needs.
Given the inspiration generated by this gesture, Mercy has said that she would use her knowledge to establish an NGO to undertake medical outreach to give it back to the society upon graduation, to justify the love demonstrated towards actualizing her dream.
