Farida Fasasi, the wife of the late Nigerian musician Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu, Fasasi popularly known as Sound Sultan has shared a heartfelt message in remembrance of her husband.
Recalls that Sound Sultan died in July 2021, after losing a battle with throat cancer in the United States of America.
Taking to social media to honour his second-year memory, Farida Fasasi in an Instagram post wrote: “Today, I choose to celebrate you and honour your legacy. I choose to remember you in a good way. Omo iseyin, the one that loves his culture so much. My tall dark skinned Iseyin man.
“’Aboo’ is the fond name you called me. Our three beautiful kids miss you so much, they still remember everything about you, and it is funny how they talk about you like you are still here.
“Your siblings have been very supportive, and they try their best not to let us feel your absence in our lives. They also miss you every day.”
