Sequel to the resignation of the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Abubakar Kyari, has taken over the
mantle of leadership of the party, National Working Committee (NWC).
It was gathered that Adamu submitted his resignation to the party’s National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore over the weekend.
Revealed that at about 10:40 am on Monday, Senator Kyari had led a team of seven other members of the NWC to a meeting in his office.
News Rider gathered that Kyari’s car was parked in the slot reserved for the National Chairman, an indication that he had taken over the affairs of the party.
But at exactly 11:20am, Omisore arrived at the secretariat for the meeting. Others are the National Organising Secretary of the party, Suleiman Arugungu Duru; Disable Leader, Tolu Bankole; Deputy National Chairman, South, Emma Eneukwu; National Vice-Chairman, North-east, Salihu Mustapha and National Vice-Chairman, North-west, Dr. Salihu Lukman.
