The Methodist Church Nigeria will on Sunday, 23rd July, 2023 confer the award of Knight of John Wesley (KJW) on Ibadan-born renowned chartered accountant, Chief Kola Osunbunmi.
The award which was approved at the 52nd Conference Connexional Council of Methodist Church Nigeria in November 2022 will hold at the Wesley Cathedral, Elekuro, Ibadan, Oyo State.
A statement signed by the Secretary of Conference, Rt Reverend (Dr) Babatunde Taiwo, said Osunbunmi was chosen for the award in recognition of his services to the Church and humanity in general.
“I write to inform you that the 52nd Conference Connexional Council of Methodist Church Nigeria which was held on Friday, 11th November, 2022 at Hoares Memorial Methodist Cathedral, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos ratified and approved your nomination for the conferment of the award of Knight of John Wesley (KJW) in recognition of your services to the Church.
It is our prayer that God will continue to use you in many more ways to advance the cause of Christ Kingdom in the world.”
