In yet another proof of safety and hospitality, Imo State has continued to play host to national events as the 2022 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards was held in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
Governor Uzodimma who was the Chief Host handed out some of the awards of the night to some of the awardees in the Nigerian movie industry.
Uzodimma reiterated that Imo State is very safe and hospitable for all Nigerians and remains the destination of choice for events and conferences.

Speaking earlier, the founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, noted that Owerri is a hub of activities, and the security situation is particularly stable.
It is worthy of note that the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON Awards) is an annual film event presented by Best of Nollywood Magazine, honouring outstanding achievements in the Nigerian Movie Industry. The first edition was held on 6 December 2009, in Ikeja, Lagos State.
