Sequel to the suspension of Abdulrasheed Bawa, the EFCC Chairman by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Abdulkarim Chukkol has taking over as Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Revealed that Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Executive Chairman of the Commission was yesterday suspended by the Federal Government to pave way for full scale investigation into allegation of official misconduct, corruption.
The notice of new EFCC Chairman was communicated by the commission via a post on its verified Facebook page on Thursday.
Prior to his appointment, Chukkol was the Director of Operations of the Commission.
“A pioneer staff of the Commission and an illustrious member of the EFCC Cadet Course One, Mr. Chukkol is a consummate and vastly experienced investigator with speciality in cybercrime and money laundering”, the commission stated.
